Welcome to the Bluestack Foundation
The Bluestack Foundation is a voluntary, not for profit organisation set up to enhance the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.
Our vision is to enhance the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing timely, pertinent and caring services to families with a special need dependant. We aim to empower all to be treated equally, to be offered equal opportunities and to be supported in their quest to reach their full potential.
We see our centre in Donegal Town as an inclusive community facility that offers a range of services and supports to families who have a dependant with special needs. We see this as the seed bed for a range of supports and services, for the community at large across the County, being supported and organised by people who have a special need.
We are committed to bringing the special need dependant to the fore of community life.
The Bluestack Foundation was set up to provide services for people of all ages with special needs.Services include speech therapy, arts & crafts, music, summer camps, training for parents, volunteer and respite support for families. The Foundation will also act as a Community Centre, with rooms for hire/loan to local community groups and businesses. Our ethos is one of inclusiveness.
The Foundation currently supports a registered family base of over 200 families. This is growing on a weekly basis as more families are becoming aware of the benefits of being registered to the organisation. If you'd like to join us please go to our Contact page
